The following items are typical of the household chemicals collected through the District’s Household Hazardous Waste program. These materials may be delivered to the HHW Depot at the Gleason Road Transfer Station, or dropped off at one of the scheduled collection events listed below. Please note that latex paint is non-hazardous and will not be accepted.

Waste Oil will only be taken if there is no oil tank on site.

Household Hazardous Waste 2013 Schedule

The RCSWD Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot at Gleason Road in Rutland City is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:00-3:00 p.m. Most household hazardous wastes are accepted from District residents at no charge. Call 802.770.1333 for more information.

On Saturdays between April and October the District offers town transfer station HHW pick-up service throughout the county according to the following schedule. Open 1st Saturday every month at transfer station depot.
